Ermiza Tegal is a lawyer and researcher. For 17 years she has practiced in the spheres of public law fundamental rights, land, labor, and family law. She has a Master in Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in London with a specialization in Law, Governance, and Development. She has served as a legal expert on State advisory committees on law reform. Her recent advocacy and research work involves law reform relating to family law, domestic violence, counter-terrorism, protection for victims of torture, addressing gender-based violence, and a people’s land policy. She is a member of the Feminist Collective for Economic Justice (2022).
