Sakuna M Gamage is a researcher and Coordinator at the Law and Society Trust in Sri Lanka. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from the University of Colombo and a Master’s degree in International Relations & Global Politics from the South Asian University in India. Alongside his academic pursuits, Gamage is an active social documentary photographer and freelance journalist, with a focus on the South Asian region. His work explores various social contexts, particularly in India, Sri Lanka, and Nepal. His interests span sub-disciplinary research areas such as visual global politics, social movements, media studies, cultural anthropology, peace and conflict resolution, labour rights, and environmental security.
